Outpatient Therapy

Our Approach

Outpatient therapy at Edison means one-on-one sessions with a licensed therapist who specializes in eating disorders — not general talk therapy with an eating disorder added on.

We treat the whole person, addressing co-occurring concerns like anxiety, depression, trauma, and OCD alongside your relationship with food and your body. Sessions are available in person at our West Des Moines office or virtually anywhere in Iowa, using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, and ERP tailored to you.

You get an integrated care team.

Every outpatient therapy client at Edison has a coordinated team behind them. Your therapist communicates directly with your dietitian and any other providers involved in your care, even if those providers are not with Edison, so nothing falls through the cracks and your treatment moves as one plan, not several disconnected appointments.
