Kerrigan (she/her) is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and other co-occurring mental health concerns. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Iowa and is currently pursuing additional training in functional psychiatry. Kerrigan has experience working across a variety of psychiatric settings, including inpatient child and adolescent psychiatry and community-based psychiatry, as well as experience supporting individuals with eating disorders.

Kerrigan takes a whole-person approach to mental health care, recognizing that meaningful treatment extends beyond symptom management. She believes medication can be an important tool when appropriate, while also emphasizing therapy, behavioral strategies, lifestyle factors, and other evidence-based approaches. Her goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized medication management and use medication as one component of a comprehensive treatment plan.

Kerrigan works with individuals ages 10 and older. She values a collaborative approach and strives to create a supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care. Kerrigan is passionate about supporting individuals with a broad range of mental health concerns as they work toward recovery and improved quality of life. She is in network with Wellmark and BCBS plans, and practices out of both the West Des Moines and Coralville offices.
