Kelsey Trejo, LISW

Kelsey Trejo (she/her) is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), and working to obtain her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist credentials through International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. Kelsey received her Bachelor's of Social Work degree from the University of Iowa in 2015, and her Master's of Social Work in 2019 from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. She has worked in a community support role with clients of non-profit agencies in the cities of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Omaha, NE, and as a therapist in a community mental health setting with patients experiencing a myriad of concerns.
Kelsey's approach to therapy is trauma-informed, compassionate, and goal-driven. Kelsey hopes her clients are able to build skills and improve relationships in a way that increases confidence and self-efficacy. Kelsey's specialties are trauma and eating disorders, with experience treating other diagnoses often seen alongside these issues (body image, anxiety, depression, psychosis, personality disorders). Kelsey is trained in EMDR, and has experience with DBT and IFS approaches as well.
Kelsey has evening and weekend availability. She is in network with Wellmark/BCBS plans, and accepts cash pay. Kelsey can offer services in Spanish, though please be aware her proficiency is conversational.
